| The Golfo Dulce or sweet gulf as it’s called locally, offers a wide variety of quarry.
From exotic Roosterfish, huge Grouper, many different types of Snapper, including the mighty
Cubera to all types of Jacks and Mackerel, Blue Trevally and Pacific Black Snook. Offshore
there’s the Amberjack, Pacific Sailfish, the feisty Blue and Black Marlin, the tough Yellow
Fin Tuna and the beautiful Dorado. The season gets underway in December lasting well into
July and beyond.
Golfito Sailfish Rancho has a long history of providing fine accommodations, meals and excellent
Captains fishing from their eleven fully equipped 27ft Ocean Masters. The lodge is hewn out of the
jungle, close to the Port town of Golfito, yet remote enough to not know it’s there. Ten double
occupancy rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms. Well prepared meals of Tico and American
origin.
